I love Skype, but one of the things I hate most about using the service is the fact that I’m glued to my PC with a headset. Especially with my work PC since Skype can’t be installed. With that in mind, how can you beat Logitec, Buffalo, and Belkin’s wireless (or Wi-Fi) Skype phones? I’ll have buy one to see how easy they are to use though…

For those of you who still don’t know about Skype: www.Skype.com. Telephone using the internet at ridiculously cheap rates. (2.3 yen to from Japan to the US!!!) Not to mention that it’s free between Skype users.

スカイプは大好きだが、一つだけ嫌なことがある。PCなしで使えない。特にスカイプがインストールできない会社のPC。ロジテック、バファローとベリキンの無線LANのスカイプ携帯端末がその問題の解決方法。無線LAN環境ならば、PCなしで使えるようだけど、使いやすいかな？買わなきゃ！

スカイプがまだ知らない人：www.Skype.comにアクセスしてみてください。インターネットを使用してすごく安く電話する（日本からアメリカは1分/2.3円！！）。スカイプ同士は無料。

アップルの新しいノートパソコンは、嫉妬するほど細い！ダイエットしようかな・・・・

でも、ちょっと高いかも。軽くていろんなところに持ち運びたい方にはオススメ。絶対注目される！（そのために買うのはちょっとだけど・・・）

I don’t cook nearly enough to require using one of these, but the design is cool. Actually, it would come in handy measuring envelopes…and ingredients for wacky science experiments. Made in China. Measures up to 3 kilograms in 1 gram units.

全然要らないものだが、なんかかっこいい。でも、考えれば、封筒の重さを量るには便利だ・・・（wacky science experimentsってどうやって翻訳するんだろう？）１ｇ単位で3kgまで計るようです。中国製。

Recently Amazon.co.jp has created an "instant store" (aStore on
Amazon.com but I haven’t set that up yet..). What this function does is
it allows you to create your very own store by selecting product from
Amazon.co.jp. Amazon handles the products and the shipping so "owners" don’t have to deal with that, and customers have a trusty source from which to purchase from. Plus, the store "owner" gets a 1-3% kickback for the referral. (not much, but this is more for fun than anything…)

I’ve created two stores. "tokuon.books" specialized in books by author
and genre in English and in Japanese. "tokuon.store" focuses on
products organized by color. I’m still working on selecting books and
products (no plans for music or movies), and it makes me realize how
difficult putting together a retail shop can be. But, it’s a lot of
fun!!!

最近アマゾン.co.jpはインスタントストアという機能を提供しはじめた。どういうことというと、自分の好きなものをアマゾンの商品から選んで、自分なりにオンライン・ストアを作ることができる。アマゾンは商品を提供し、発送をしているので、自分でやらなくていいし、買い物している人は安心してネットで買い物できる。そして、売られた商品に対して「オーナー」は1-3%がもらえる。

私2つのストアを作ってみた。洋書と和書の専門のストア「tokuon.books」と色で整理しているストア「tokuon.store」を作ってみた。両方ともまだまだものが少ないで、店作りがどれほど難しいかやっと分かってきたが、まあ、作るのが楽しいです。
